Scheduled backup to FTP server fails with dataconn.pm error

Issue/Introduction

After scheduling a backup to be uploaded to an FTP server, the backup fails and the following error is observed in the BrightmailLog.log:

Jan 11 2023 17:30:01 [BrightmailScheduler_Worker-7] [ScriptHelper] ERROR - Cannot backup the database.
Jan 11 2023 17:30:01 [BrightmailScheduler_Worker-7] [ScriptHelper] ERROR - Can't use an undefined value as a symbol reference at /usr/share/perl5/Net/FTP/dataconn.pm line 54.
Jan 11 2023 17:30:01 [BrightmailScheduler_Worker-7] [ScheduledBackupTask] ERROR - Error occurred while attempting to execute scheduled backup.

Cause

Either one of the required fields for the FTP server information is blank or the path for the file destination is improperly set. 

Resolution

Please review the configuration for the scheduled backup's FTP server information and test using a manual backup.
