Issue/Introduction

Navigating the Symantec Data Loss Prevention UI has slowed. No specific page is affected, all pages are slow. 

Environment

Release : 15.8

Cause

Low memory allocation for the SymantecDLPManagerService. 

Resolution

If just pages dealing with DLP incidents are slow, consider deleting incidents, particularly if over 1,000,000 incidents exist in the DLP Database. 

You may also need to just extend the amount of memory available for the manager service. 

Open SymantecDLPManager.conf

• Windows: \Program Files\Symantec\DataLossPrevention\EnforceServer\Services

• Linux: /opt/Symantec/DataLossPrevention/EnforceServer/Services

Change the value of the wrapper.java.maxmemory parameter to a higher value, typically starting with double the current value. Ensuring that the server host has additional memory that allows for this.
