Subject : Symantec Management Center Notification - Internal Alert
Body : Statistics Monitoring DB exceeded allowed disk quota. Collector to reject upload requests.
Release :
It's been confirm that it is a legitimate "Database Disk Quota Warning", meaning that the storage quota for db statistics monitoring, per managed device, is full. See the Tech. doc. with the URL below.
To resolve this, you would have to do a Purge of the Monitoring Statistics from Management Center, to delete the backlog of statistics stored from monitoring managed devices, from the MC storage. For guidance on how you may execute this, please refer to the Tech. doc. with the URL below.
Note 1: DB Statistics Monitoring is done on a per managed device basis and purging the same has to happen on the managed devices that have got the db stored.
For further guidance, please refer to the snippets below, taken from our lab environment.
Note 2: For managed devices where the db purge isn't required nor available, the feature would be grayed out. See the snippets below, for reference.
Now, please be informed that there is also the possibility to Activate Extra Disk Space on an Existing Management Center Virtual Appliance (VA). For guidance, please refer to the Tech. doc. with the URL below.
If you chose to activate extra disk space, it's important that you take note of the caution and be happy with taking the option. See the snippet below, as executed from our lab environment.
Note 4: Ahead of purging the monitoring statistics for the managed devices, we recommend to view the Statistics Monitoring Reports, following the guidance detailed in the Tech. doc. with URL: https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/symantec-security-software/web-and-network-security/management-center/3-3/report_devices_wan/statsmon_reports.html, and you may run the reports and have them downloaded and stored. For guidance on how you may run the reports, please refer to the snippets below.
Lastly, you may also chose to disable statistics monitoring for the managed devices, to ensure zero statistics monitoring db is stored on the MC. If this would be your choice, please refer to the guidance in the Tech. doc. with the URL below. Also see the snippets below, as executed within our lab environment.
