Looking for assistance on how to disable CPU throttling on a Linux server to be able to upgrade DX Netops Performance Management Servers.
Dx NetOps Performance Management - All releases
The following is the documentation from vertica
It's disabled in the BIOS. We don't have any specific documentation on how to do that, however here is a VMWare knowledge doc: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/1018206
It talks about how to do this for manufacturers like Dell and HP but the process would likely vary a bit depending on the manufacturer/model for the systems the Data repositories are installed on.
If you cannot disable CPU scaling through the system BIOS, you can limit the impact of CPU scaling by disabling the scaling through the Linux kernel or setting the CPU frequency governor to always run the CPU at full speed.
Some Linux systems, however, don't have a governor to configure the CPU frequency. Please consult your system administrator for further information.
