In a ticket detail, it was possible to change sizes for the summary and description on the Web UI . From some point onwards, this functionality has been lost. We would like to know how we can restablish this functionality.

The functionality in question is not a native feature of SDM and thus unsupported.
The visible fields in SDM do not have any native functionality to change their size. This would most likely be either a form customisation or a web browser plugin that allowed field size changes. The SDM Product does not support such functionality introduced from external sources nor can the product be warranted for compatibility with same.
This question is about changing the visible field size on the SDM GUI and not the backend schema, ie: increasing the summary or description field length to allow for more text to be stored, which is also unsupported as the schema definitions cannot be modified in this fashion.
