SRS025E -911 Deadlock issues

Issue/Introduction

Each deadlock occurs in relation to one of the CKPT_SYNCH tables (IGWG.CKPT_SYNCH).

In all cases where the deadlock happens
the following messages are seen

19:49:47 SRS012W - Checkpoint file I/O error during random read
19:49:47 SRSI120I - Job ID I4GZ840D12170015 assigned for this jobstep
19:49:49 SRS025E - SQLCODE = -911 following RMI call referencing SRS synchronization data
19:49:49 SRSI217E - SQL error while attempting to delete auxilary DB2 rows

 

 

 

Environment

Release : 20.1

Resolution

Change the parm BULK_CKPT(DB2)

to BULK_CKPT(VSAM)

To prevent use of the tables and use VSAM Access
