SEPM upgrade to RU6 failed at about 64% - Dialog shows "Null"

Issue/Introduction

The upgrade failed.  It was around 64%.  The progress dialogue shows, “null” before erroring out.

Error: 2023-01-05 15:14:36.506 THREAD 96 WARNING: Login failed for user 'REPORTER_sem5sem5'. Reason: The account is disabled.

NOTE: The username may differ, but will begin with REPORTER_sem5.

Environment

Release : 14.3 RU6

Cause

In SQL, the account indicated was disabled as the error indicated.

Resolution

By enabling the account using SQL Server Management Studio, the installation completed successfully.

1. Log into SQL Server Management Studio.
2. Expand the Security and Logins folders.
3. Right-click on the user and select Properties.
4. Select Status and change Login from Disabled to Enabled:
