Issue/Introduction

A new version of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) was released with DLP 16.0.

What is the process for upgrading to the new version?

Environment

Release : 16.0

Resolution

If installing a fresh copy of DLP 16.0, OCR version 16.0 should be installed along with it if you choose to use OCR.

If upgrading to 16.0 from a previous version, you must upgrade the DLP Enforce and detection servers to version 16.0 prior to upgrading the OCR servers to version 16.0.

DLP 16.0 detection servers are backwards compatible with 15.8 OCR servers, however, we strongly recommend upgrading all older OCR servers to 16.0 for the latest codebase and features and future supportability.

As with all upgrades, ensure a backup of the OCR server files, certs, keystores, and configurations are performed prior to the uninstall.

 

Additional Information

There is no OCR server upgrader.

The old version must be uninstalled and then install the new version.
