Time Period field on the Incident Effort tab

When the "Enter Time" button is used in an Incident, a field called "Time Period" is presented in a page. What is the logic that governs the values that get displayed here?


The logic that is involved in showing time periods is as follows:

  • Check for open time periods (configured using Administration -> Time Reporting Periods)
  • Look for time periods that have start dates before the current date
  • Exclude time periods that have timesheets in the following statuses
    • Submitted
    • Approved
    • Posted
