CA Automic Workload Automation - Automation Engine CA Automic One Automation

How to reproduce the issue.

1. create  an object

2. open the object and give the title the same name as the object name.

3. Create a workflow and use the above-created job in the workflow.

4. use the function "search for use" for the created object

5 Result is that object is used in an " unknown" file this field is the title of the job:

Actual behavior: Tasks details are displayed, only when the task name is the same as the object name

Expected behavior: Tasks details should not be displayed when pointing to itself, unless there is an Alias involved then Used In should not show UNKNOWN but the Job Name.

Release: 12.3.x and 21.0.x

Component: Automation Engine

This is caused by a product defect

Update to a fix version listed below or a newer version if available.

Fix version:
Component(s): Automation Engine
Will be fixed in Automation.Engine 21.0.9 - Planned release late December 2023

Bug ID:  AE-30885

Public Description: A problem has been fixed where the search for use functionality showed the own object if the title had the same name as the object.

Additional Information

In version 12.3.8 there might be a problem with system crashes when trying to rename an object with the same name and title.

To workaround the problem search for the impacted objects and change their title.

Here is a useful query to find such objects:

select * from oh where oh_name like oh_title
