Issue/Introduction

What are the required steps for a successful Database Management Solutions for Db2 for z/OS post install process when the initial install was
performed on a different LPAR?  What datasets must be propagated for a successful install on a different LPAR?

Resolution

  1. The datasets specified in the DSNAMExx member located in the hlq.CDBAPARM dataset must be copied to the target LPAR.

  2. Invoke post install from the ISPF command shell (normally option 6) via this syntax and perform all required Post Install steps:
    EXEC 'hlq.CDBACLS0(INSMAIN)' 'hlq'
    * Note: Post installation can be performed on the new target system without the SMP/E datasets.
