Kernel Configuration for Data Repository on VMWARE

I found these configurations on my notes, it could have been suggested by a Services team, and I could not find them anywhere on the Tech Doc or KB articles. Can you validate that if they are needed?

settings are updated in sysctl.conf

vm.swappiness = 0
vm.max_map_count = 15757710
vm.min_free_kbytes = 63513
vm.dirty_background_ratio = 3
vm.dirty_ratio = 6

The following entries are added by the NetOps installer.

  • DA, DA Proxy, DC:
