DSEXVIEW fails with DCD0037E and DCD0025E errors on VCBTSQIO return code 1469

Issue/Introduction

Due to LDS SATURATION warnings, we are attempting to run the Dispatch batch cleanup/maintenance job to delete expired entries out of online viewing. However, the job is failing with a RC=16 and is issuing the following errors:

DCD0037E Bad return code from module VCBTSQIO return code was 1469
DCD0025E - This run has been terminated due to an error  condition on the data base

Environment

Dispatch Release : 11.7

Cause

DSEXVIEW job run while Dispatch STC is still active.

Resolution

- The error status of 1469 indicates a contention problem.

- These errors can/will occur if the Dispatch STC is still active at the time the DSEXVIEW job is being run.

- The DSEXVIEW job REQUIRES that the Dispatch started task be ended gracefully with a STOPCADS command, and that it be DOWN when DSEXVIEW is executed.

Before attempting to run the DSEXVIEW job again, please MAKE SURE that the Dispatch started task came down gracefully via a STOPCADS command and that automation or some other process does not restart Dispatch until the DSEXVIEW job has completed.
