Issue/Introduction

Links are broken on the Symantec Management Agent Download Page and the following error is displayed:

Environment

ITMS 8.x

Cause

Inheritance was not enabled on the NSCap folder and so we could not read the web.config file and access the installer EXE located in a subfolder. 

 

Resolution

Enable inheritance on the NSCap folder with the option selected to Replace all child object permission entries with inheritable permission entries from this object.

The NSCap folder is located in the Altiris installation directory - in a default installation and the location is C:\Program Files\Altiris\Notification Server\NSCap.
