Jaspersoft emails failing after upgrading JDK version

Issue/Introduction

Since updating the version of the JDK of Jaspersoft, Jaspersoft emails are not working. In the logs the following errors are noted:

 

ERROR SecureExceptionHandlerImpl,quartzScheduler_Worker-1:116 [] - fail to send out alert mail notification
ERROR ReportExecutionJob,quartzScheduler_Worker-1:367 [] - fail to send out alert mail notification
com.jaspersoft.jasperserver.api.JSExceptionWrapper: Domain contains illegal character

Environment

Release : 16.0.3, 16.1.0

Resolution

The newer versions of the JDK perform validation on the "sender from address" that older versions did not.

Ensure that the sender from address includes no special characters.
