Issue/Introduction

Is the DBOLOAD DD statement still required within the IMS suite of tools?

Resolution

The recommendation is; do not use the DBOLOAD DD statement in your JCL. It is an outdated use of the products that should not be
referenced any more. All you need now is the STEPLIB concatenation with all your load libraries. Also use DFSRESLB which will
point to the APF-authorized IMS RESLIB which is the same setup as all IMS jobs.
