"CreateProcess failed ==> %1 is not a valid Win32 application." reported when installing Unicenter Workload Control Center

Issue/Introduction

When running setupwin32.exe to install the Unicenter Workload Control Center, I receive the following error:

"CreateProcess failed ==> %1 is not a valid Win32 application."

Resolution

This error could be a result of the Windows environment variable TEMP being set to a value unknown to the ISMP installer (in this case the value was %TEMP%).

To correct this value:

• Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Environmental Variables.
  
  
• Set the value for TEMP to a real directory on the machine:
  
  C:\temp (as an example.)
  
  
• Then retry the install again and it should work.
