During reporting and using large filters sometimes causes sessions timeout in Symantec Endpoint Security.

Issue/Introduction

This problem can be seen at times when working with large reports and grids. The ability to increase the session timeout is a wanted feature. It is listed in the December 2022 release:

New session timeout settings -Super Administrators and Domain Administrators can now change administrator session expiration timeout settings. All administrator roles can change their own idle timeouts on the My Profile page whether the policy is inherited or directly applied.

This new option cannot be found.

Cause

New tenants will have this feature, but existing tenants need it added through an update process.

Resolution

The feature to increase session timeout value listed on the "What's new" page is not fully available to existing tenants. This feature is currently planned to be implemented over time in January 2023. This timeframe is subject to change.
