Issue/Introduction

Hello,

I'm having an issue installing the shadow app server/scheduler on a RHEL 8 server.
The primary is running AutoSys R12 SP1 CUM 3. It goes into a loop, stating:
Note: Tnsnames.ora file should have read permissions to the user running
AutoSys services.

But tnsnames.ora is world readable. I can also tnsping the database and sqlplus in as the AutoSys user.

Resolution

I am glad to say this issue is now resolved.
Below is a recap of what we saw and did

1) you have upgraded your primary to 12Sp1CUM3
2) when you try to install the Shadow scheduler it was saying the database was at a higher version
3) it would then start a loop asking for the Tnsnames.ora file
4) We followed the below KB article:
CAUAJM_E_112507 database schema at higher version when installing Rest Webservice
5) we set the  IA_AE_SKIP_DB_CHECK=1 environment variable before starting the installer
6) we ran the installer and got past the looping point.
