uim_db space issue

Issue/Introduction

Why does the UIM database SQL Server Transaction Log Grow Even when configured to use Simple Recovery Model (Disk Filling Up).

Its filling database full [Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 11.0] The transaction log for database 'CA_UIM' is full due to 'LOG_BACKUP'.

 

Environment

• UIM 20.4 CU5
• MS SQLServer 2019

Resolution

Either increasing the disk space or shrinking the file using either "DBCC shrinkfile" or the SQL Enterprise Studio Admin GUI.

For UIM 20.4 for large environments, we need 2-3 TB database.
