SEPM upgrade results in failure with logs seen in SQL server logs and SEPM Upgrade.log
Login failed. The login is from an untrusted domain and cannot be used with Integrated authentication.
User used to log in to the SEPM host system and performing installation is different than the user used in installation/upgrade wizard of SEPM.
Make sure you are logged in to the SEPM host system with AD user that is used in SEPM installation wizard.
This user should also be present on SQL database server and should have access to db.
