Error JspServletWrapper.service NullPointerException in VAPP as SP

Issue/Introduction

When running vApp as Service Provider (SP), once the browser accesses the vApp SP side for SP initiated journey, the browser receives the message:

 

 https://<domain>/iam/im/mysp/index.jsp
  Exception during page display:

  org.apache.jasper.JasperException: java.lang.NullPointerException
    at org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServletWrapper.service(JspServletWrapper.java:473)

Environment

Virtual Appliance 14.5

Resolution

Enabling the Identity Manager Authentication Framework on all nodes in the cluster will solve the issue.
