ADvantage.exe register failed 7

CA Harvest Software Change Manager


When installing the client, I've receive the warning "ADvantage.exe register failed 7". The installation completes and after installing the 14.0.2 Patch, both the Workbench and the Administrator are looking fine (I need to perform some testing like creating a project/process/etc.). But what could be wrong, or can we ignore this error en start deploying this version? We're using a ThinApp, so the error isn't a problem for deployment.

In the MSI log we could see that the installation is successful - Installation success or error status: 0.

The popup we got as an error is the last step of the installation. Every other setup required for the harvest installation is completed successfully.

Hence we can say complete installation is done except the registration of tscontroller.dll which has no impact on the functionality. 

We suspect that it could be an environment specific issue.
