Application not found message when loading application detail page

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to view an application's detail page in the Information Centric Analytics (ICA) console, the following message is displayed:

Application not found or you do not have permission to view it.

Release : 6.x

Cause

This message is displayed when an application's description contains a carriage return. The import rule mapping for the data source from which the application information is obtained pulls from a field containing a carriage return and maps to the ApplicationDescription field in ICA.

Resolution

This is a known behavior that will be addressed in a future release of ICA.

As a workaround, the stored procedure spIW_UpdateApplications can be modified to replace CHAR(10) and CHAR(13) in the ApplicationDescription field. Contact Broadcom support for assistance.
