Does Datacom/AD require a signon or login to be able to use or access it?

Datacom/AD

Resolution

There is no requirement for a login or signon to access and use the database functionality of Datacom/AD. However, certain components, like the Datadictionary, require a specific internal password to administer the Datadictionary definitions. For Datacom/AD, this is often only one time, during the initial configuration of the base product which uses the database, or possibly if certain maintenance is applied which requires a Datadictionary update.

Note that Datacom/AD is the data repository component for other applications like CA 7, CA 11, and others, and there is no access control requirement for those applications within the database engine.
