Issue/Introduction

You request to know how to change the IP/Hostname listed in the Single Sign-On URLs listed on the Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) appliance.

Environment

Release : 4.8 and newer

Cause

The "Single Sign-On URLs" listed in EDR are the same as the URL that was used to access the EDR GUI when the SSO settings were configured.

Resolution

Note: It is not common to have multiple hostnames point to the EDR however it is possible and, in some cases, may be desired.

In order to change the "Single Sign-On URLs" you will need to:

  1. Create a DNS entry for the new hostname (unless one already exists)
  2. Navigate to the EDR using the new hostname
  3. Navigate to Settings > Data Sharing > Single Sign-On > Assertion Attributes
  4. Note the current attribute
  5. Modify the attribute and click "Save"
  6. Modify the attribute back to the value noted in step 4 and click "Save"
