Issue/Introduction

AAI tablespace or index not shrinking on an Oracle database after AAI purges older data as part of the AAI Database Maintenance task.

Environment

Release : 6.4.2

Resolution

The deleting of records will not shrink the size of the tablespace or indices in Oracle.

This is by Oracle design, your DBA should be able to shrink the tablespace or index after the data is purged from the AAI database.
 

AAI service should be down while any changes are made to the database.
