Issue/Introduction

Error: failed to resolve hostname in DNS

The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type of was found 11004

Environment

Release : 14.3 RU6

Cause

Attempting an NS Lookup with a fully qualified domain name, a hostname, and an IP address of the SEPM, none resolve. A network configuration prevented the name resolution from occurring.

Resolution

Check the DNS records for the SEPM. Modifications may be required to properly map the name and FQDN to the IP address and vice versa.
