SpectroSERVER activation is slow due to NCM

Issue/Introduction

SpectroSERVER activation times seem to be taking longer than expected.  

Environment

Release : 21.2

Cause

There was a Global Collection that had 200 NCM tasks applied to it for security string rolldown. The loading of this information was causing the SpectroSERVER startup delays.

Resolution

This is resolved in Spectrum 21.2.12  and above by a change that allows for security string roll down from NCM policies to the respective NCM Device family/models.  The 21.2.12 release notes show:

DX NetOps Spectrum
Now allows users to add a security string for the NCM policy while creating the policy. This ability gives more flexibility to the users. They can then view, modify, and delete the security string at the NCM policy level without affecting the associated Global Collection or Device Family security string.For more information, see the Create a Policy section.

To note:

The attribute:  "UsePolicySecurityString" needs to be set to Yes
