Issue/Introduction

The Database Management Solutions for Db2 for z/OS Post Install ssid0002 Bind Product Plans and Packages job fails with the following condition:

IEF450I IPT8004B FULLBIND - ABEND=S013 U0000 REASON=00000034

or

ISPT036 Table in use -/-TBOPEN issued for table ISPSPROF that is in use, ENQUEUE failed.

Cause

The ISPF PROFILE dataset that the batch job is trying to allocate is already allocated by a logged on user.

Resolution

In hlq.CDBAPARM member ISPFxx check to see if the user ISPPROF dataset is specified in the ISPTLIB concatenation.  If the user ISPPROF dataset is allocated in the ISPTLIB
concatenation this will results in a contention problem.  Remove this dataset from the ISPTLIB concatenation within the ISPFxx member and also from the already generated
Bind Product Plans JCL.

Additional Information

Create an ISPF Global Parmlib Member

If you populate the ISPF member automatically, you might have data set contention with active TSO users when you submit customization JCL generated by post-install processing.
To prevent contention errors with active TSO users, delete all user data sets and Broadcom product libraries from the ISPF global parmlib member.
