Issue/Introduction

How do you setup a Configuration Policy for automatically recording all the Remote Control sessions.

Environment

Client Automation - All Versions 

Resolution

Create a New Policy
 
- Create a New Configuration Policy
- Expand DSM\Remote Control\Host\Recording 
- Set following value :
 
Record all sessions = Yes
User account = "Logged on user credentials" or "service account credentials"
Recording Path = <a path where the recording files are stored. It could be a UNC path>
 
 
- Seal the New Configuration Policy. 
- Apply the Policy to the Group of machines, you want Remote Control recorded on.
 
The files are stored in the specified path with format :
 
<host_name>_(<username>)_date_time.urc
 
 
 
Make sure that user has "Change" and "Read" rights on the network share and "read, write & execute" rights on the NTFS directory.
