Jasper Reports Server 7.1.3 stops working after Java updates

Issue/Introduction

After updating the new java 1.8.0_351 version to stay on the most current release. The Jaspersoft 7.1.3 stop working.

Error Message: /apps/home/<user>/jasperserver.license is corrupt

Environment

Release : 15.9.1

Cause

The new java 1.8.0_351 is not compatible with Jaspersoft 7.1.3 

Resolution

Please upgrade the Jaspersoft to the Supported Version

or

Workaround: Roll back to previous Java version
