VOLUME GROUP PARTIALLY COMPLETE error in storage array

Issue/Introduction

The recovery guru or SANtricity may show the following error about a volume group only partially complete.

VOLUME_GROUP_PARTIALLY_COMPLETE-Recovery Failure Type Code: 200

 

Cause

One or more drives are missing from a volume group or disk pool. There are still enough drives remaining that the volumes can continue servicing I/O. However, the volumes may not be able to continue I/O if more drives are removed or fail. 

Resolution

Look for a failed drive in SANtricity and replace the drive, which should resolve the volume error.
