Excessive number of CAS9182A license warnings

Issue/Introduction

LMP expiry notifications are causing us significant issues. A quick check shows around 8,000 of the CAS9182A messages a day. If this were the case on all 40+ systems then it would equate to over 10million reminders across the whole month. However, we have some systems we’re actually seeing over 100k of these messages a day so the overall total is staggering. 

We really need a way of configuring these notifications a different way.

Cause

While Common Services (CCS) is behaving exactly as designed, some products are issuing license check much to often. It would be up to the individual products teams to review and offer a solution.

Resolution

For Compliance Event Manager r6.0 (CEM), reference published solution LU08381. With this PTF in place you should only see the CAS9182A message once per day per listener.

For Vantage Storage Resource Manager r14.1, reference published solution LU06723. This PTF reduces the frequency of checks for expiring Vantage LMP keys.
