Impact of Microsoft Defender Endpoint agent on Spectrum

Issue/Introduction

Customer's security department is requesting to roll-out on all Spectrum VMs MDE (Microsoft Defender Endpoint). 
From an application owner perspective we are concerned that this agent might have an impact on Spectrum normal functioning. 

We would like to know if there is any knowledge or known issues on how this product might affect Spectrum performance or software behaviour.

Resolution

We noticed a potential problem for Spectrum.

According to the info contained in the following link (https://cygwin.com/faq/faq.html#faq.using.bloda), the Microsoft Defender is listed as a software that can cause some impact with Cygwin.

Cygwin is a 3rd party software embedded in Spectrum, and it's used, for example, by NCM tasks.
