zLinux daemon init script not installed since SLES 15 SP3

Issue/Introduction

When doing a fresh install of DUAS 6.10.41 on Linux/zLinux version "SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP3", the script DUAS_COMPANY_NODE in /etc/init.d is not installed to be started/stopped at OS boot or shutdown.

In the installation,the following appears:

=> Configuring daemon mode...
OS is Linux
No procedure for daemonized DUAS for that OS :Linux.
Non fatal error during installation in daemon mode, DUAS will not be started as daemon

Release : 6.x and 7.x

OS: SLES 15 and superior

Cause

Wrong check of the OS version in unigeneric script

Resolution

Workaround

Copy os-release file as SuSE-release file b:

cp /etc/os-release /etc/SuSE-release

Solution

First, please make sure that the insserv-compat package is installed on your machine, this can be done with the command:

ls -l /sbin/insserv

If it's not available, please install it before attempting to install the node:

zypper install insserv-compat

Update to a fix version listed below or a newer version if available.
