Issue/Introduction

What exactly does the OPER DSPMODE command do?

When it says ZIIP processing not requested , does it turn ZIIP processing off for ESP?

Environment

ESP Workload Automation 12.0 - z/OS supported releases -

Resolution

According to the ESP Workload Automation documentation:

DSPMODE Command: Display zIIP Processing Information

The DSPMODE command displays information related to IBM zIIP processor use.

Example: Display the zIIP Eligibility Status
In this example, the DSPMODE command is issued to display whether zIIP processing was requested and honored:

OPER DSPMODE

When it says zIIP processing not requested, it DOES NOT turn zIIP processing off for ESP.

Wanting to remove zIIP processing, the zIIP parameter from STCPARM must be removed in the ESP STC.
