Issue/Introduction

when attempting to run an autoping to a newly installed agent, it fails with the following type of error...


CAUAJM_I_50023 AutoPinging Machine [machine1]  
CAUAJM_E_10229 Communication attempt with the AutoSys Agent has failed! [machine1:7520]
CAUAJM_E_50281 AutoPing from the Scheduler WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL.

CAUAJM_E_10229 Communication attempt with the AutoSys Agent has failed! [machine1:7520]
CAUAJM_E_50283 AutoPing from the Application Server WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL.

CAUAJM_E_50026 ERROR: AutoPing WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL.

 

Environment

Release : 11.3.6/12.0/12.0.01/12.1

Resolution

Ensure the settings in the machine definition for port and agent_name match the port and agent name configured in the agentparm.txt file on the agent machine.
