Issue/Introduction

How can I remove unused RA agent objects?

E.g. The objects are in client 0 and their type is:

• HOST, e.g. TEMPLATE\AGENT.VMWAREAGENT
• JOBS, e.g. TEMPLATE\JOBS.VMWAREAGENT.VMWAREEXECUTEJOB
• CONN, e.g. TEMPLATE\CONN.VMWAREAGENT.WEBSERVICECONNECTION
• CITC, e.g. RA_SOLUTIONS\VMWAREAGENT

Not able to remove the objects because the delete function is greyed out in the AWI.

Release : 12.3.x, 21.x

Resolution

Deletion of RA Agent objects directly from the DB is not recommended option. Do not do it if it is not absolutely necessary, do not remove it directly from db.

Here are some of options you could use if you really want to make the template "disappear":

- create a folder in client 0 named "UNUSED" and move the templates there

- go to uc_object_template and delete the line with the template

Once you delete it then the Agent won't be listed in the "Add object -> Agents list"
