Agent uninstalled failed on Linux endpoint due to Python Distribution.

Issue/Introduction

When uninstalling SEP Linux Agent you get the following error:


Check the sdcss_uninstall.log and within you will see the following error:

cat sdcss_uninstall.log
10/28/22 18:18:51: Stopping Agent..
10/28/22 18:19:06: Uninstalling Symantec Agent for Linux
Symantec Endpoint Protection (Cloud) ...

SyntaxError: invalid syntax

Environment

Linux RHEL 7

Cause

The python distribution could not be working as expected. Try to change to a different python distribution or un-linking the python script.

Resolution

After changing the python distribution or un-linking the python script, proceed with the uninstall of the SEP Linux Agent.
