Trying to deploy Oracle and getting the error INS-35950

Issue/Introduction

We ran out of memory trying to deploy Oracle.

We stopped and corrected the memory on the server, but now when we run the setup we get the error [INS-35950] Installer has detected an invalid entry in the central inventory corresponding to Oracle home (file path)

Environment

Release: Applicable to any version of Oracle

Cause

Due to running out of memory during the first installation attempt, the inventory.xml file located at C:\Program Files\Oracle\Inventory\ContentsXML had become corrupt.

Resolution

Delete all Oracle files including those located at C:\Program Files\Oracle

Re-extract the Oracle files, and run the setup again.
