Issue/Introduction

we tried the

ITIL_Content_17_3.zip

but the sdm datasource is not able to connect against the sdm service

The error message you're seeing in the JDBC Driver field is this:

NOT INSTALLED: com.ca.sdm.dal.sql.jdbc.driver.DalJdbcDriver (com.ca.sdm.dal.sql.jdbc.driver.DalJdbcDriver)

Environment

Release : 17.3

Resolution

Edit the SDM_DS JasperSoft datasource and then select OTHER in the 'JDBC Driver' dropdown and then manually type in the following in the JDBC Driver field: com.ca.sdm.dal.sql.jdbc.driver.DalJdbcDriver Ensure that the URL field is populated with: jdbc:sdm:bop:@:2100;impersonateUserUuid={attribute('contactUUID')} Then test the connection and ensure that it tests successfully.
