Issue/Introduction

During the DISK dynamic upgrade to the new release, it can happen that the DMSAR INSTALL could fail with the following Abend messages:

 IEF403I DMSAR - STARTED
11.48.35 S0173204  DIM000I DYNAMIC INTERFACE MANAGER CCUWE00.
11.48.35 S0173204  DIM010I DYNAMIC INSTALLATION OF SVC(026) HOOK.
11.48.35 S0173204  PET202I USER ABEND(U0200) AT PSW(478D3000 8004ACFE).
11.48.35 S0173204  IEF450I DMSAR DMSAR - ABEND=S000 U0200 REASON=00000000

How to bypass the problem and correctly install the DMSAR hooks.

The solution is to remove the obsolete parameter RETMULTI from the SYSPARMS member used by DMSAR and rerun the DMSAR INSTALL. This sysparm  has been removed in DISK 12.5 by the GA PTF SO10594 .
