Juniper SRX 1500 devices do not populate the Serial_Number attribute.

Issue/Introduction

There are some Juniper devices that do not have the Serial_Number attribute and I am wondering if it has something to do with they possibly are not getting polled. How can I begin troubleshooting to understand why the value is not populating so we can resolve this?

Environment

Release : Any Spectrum Release.

Cause

The Juniper Devices were passive nodes in a high availability configuration. There is limited SNMP MIB support for juniper devices that are passive nodes in a high availability configuration. 

Resolution

This is a Juniper device limitation. The device does not support the jnxBoxSerialNo MIB object when in passive mode.
