awexe node gives 231 Error number from open pipe 2

Issue/Introduction

We are seeing the  below error when trying to bring Appworx agents:

 

231 Error number from open pipe 2.
334 Check that the API server is running.
Could not open server pipe.

Environment

Release : 9.4.1

CA Automic Applications Manager

Cause

This problem usually happens if the awcomm process was held by another user other than the AM user.

Resolution

Log on as the other user that helds the process, kill the process and restart the master RMI services.
