Which PTFs are included if SMP/E receive order job is run with CONTENT(RECOMMENDED) option as shown below?

           CONTENT(RECOMMENDED)

Resolution

With CONTENT(RECOMMENDED) option, following PTFs are included: 

• PTFs with SOURCEID: 
  • CARSyymm:      Identifies PTFs that are part of preventive maintenance, where yymm is the year and month when the PTF was added to the CARS file with its respective ++ASSIGN statement
  • HIPER:                Identifies PTFs resolving a high impact problem    
  • PRP:                    Identifies PTFs that resolves PTFs in error
  • *Prerequisites:    SYSMODS that must be installed before or concurrently with another SYSMOD in order for that other SYSMOD to be installed

 

With CONTENT(CRITICAL) option, following PTFs are included:

• PTFs with SOURCEID:
  • HIPER
  • PRP
  • Prerequisites

 

 

* If PTFs are PRE-REQs of other PTFs that are being received, those PTFs will be included.
