Issue/Introduction

When running PDSM38 receiving message

PDSMPARS-03 Command not authorized, Resource=                                   
PDSM38-01 Processing terminated - return code=16

Resolution

The error messages indicates that you do not have the required security level to run PDSM38 utility, you need to define the $SECURITY rule in PDSMINIT. The $SECURITY rule defines the security system class and entity name that PDSMAN will pass to your installation security package. 

To execute the PDSM38 commands that require security (refer to $$SECUR of the CPDSTXT library), your security profile (defined in your site's security system - not PDSMINIT) would need to have read authority to the FACILITY class PDSM.PDSM38.- entity.
