Security Role to allow adding a new resource target

Issue/Introduction

The Altiris Administrator created a separate Security Role (a clone from the Symantec administrator role and removed what was not wanted for this custom Role to see). They wanted to give to this Security Role the permissions to pick a filter that they already can create or use and pick it from a Task\New Schedule\Add Target and click "New" to select the filter:

Currently the Security Role does not see "New" under the select a resource target:

Resolution

In this scenario, the custom Security Role is missing the "Create Resource Targets" privilege.

1. On the SMP Console, go to Settings>Security>Account Management.
2. Click on "Roles" and select the custom Security Role.
3. Click in the "Provileges" tab and check the box for "Create Resource Targets" under the "Management Privileges" section.
4. Save changes and test your Security Role.
