Update password for user used in artifact definition.

Issue/Introduction

We need to update password of all artifact definition from database as we have thousands of artifact definition. Earlier we used to do it by updating in rc_artifact_repository table but now we see it's encryption has changed. Please help as multiple deployment will get failed.

Environment

Release : 6.7 and higher

Component: CA RELEASE AUTOMATION DATABASE

Cause

The change in the encrypted password value is due to the fact that the earlier used encryption algorithm i.e. DES considered to be weak cryptography had been replaced with strong cryptographic algorithm, henceforth resulting in the change of encrypted value. The user is requested to refer Release Notes 6.7.4  for more details.

Resolution

The recommendation way to update password for each artifact version is by using ROC UI -> Artifact Management -> Select the artifact definition and update respective artifact version with updated password.
