Dynamic Capacity Intelligence

Issue/Introduction

Just successfully installed Dynamic Capacity Intelligence (DCI) 2.0 and configured the Controller.

However, when the Controller starts, the following error is immediately returned:

DCI0999E ERROR INITAPI: (000003F3/FFFFFFFF)

and then the Controller terminates due to an RC 12:

Cause

This is a TCPIP socket error x'3F3', i.e. decimal 1011. From IBM Sockets return codes (ERRNOs):

Resolution

The IPSTACK parameter of DCI Controller JCL contains the wrong TCPIP stack name. 

Use the correct TCPIP Stack name
